Published 13/10/26After our success at the Education Awards on Saturday night, being crowned the Best Primary School of the Year, the children enjoyed their celebrations after a special Monday morning assembly and a treat. The children got to hear the good news and were presented with the trophy during assembly but the best news was still to come; the announcement of the ice cream van at breaktime! The children loved their treat!

Published 13/10/26We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to announce that Harmony Primary School, who were nominated for an award at the Education Awards, were crowned Best Belfast Primary School of the Year at the Local Women Magazine Education Awards, held at the Europa Hotel on Saturday evening.
This fantastic achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of our wonderful staff, pupils and wider school community. We are extremely proud to receive this recognition and would like to thank everyone who contributes to making Harmony Primary School such a special place to learn, grow and succeed.
Mrs Johnston proudly collected the award and paid testament to the wonderful children of Harmony Primary School and their families. Whilst being interviewed, Mrs Johnston commented on the reason why Harmony won the best school award was because we have the best pupils, stating that our school motto came to life on Saturday night; TOGETHER WE LEARN, TOGETHER WE SUCCEED IN HARMONY.
Later on, she paid tribute to the help and support of Vice Principal, Joanne Hughes and Board of Governors, in particular, John MacVicar.

Published 09/10/26We had a wonderful Harvest assembly this morning led by Alan Conly from Woodvale Methodist Church. For the past couple of weeks, each class has been generously donating goods for our hampers which our P7 students distributed to our local elderly members of the Glencairn Community. We are so proud to be able to help and support members of our local community. Thanks to Mrs Davis and Ms McCullough for their organisation of the event in distributing the goods and preparing a wonderful display in our hall this morning for assembly.

Published 06/10/26We are delighted to have received a water butt from NI Water for our school. 💧🌱
A water butt collects rainwater, allowing us to reuse it rather than letting it go to waste. The collected rainwater can be used for watering classroom plants, washing tools, outdoor learning opportunities and will help children understand the importance of saving water and caring for our environment.
This will be a great addition to our school and provide the children with a practical way to learn about sustainability and looking after our planet.

Published 02/10/26Congratulations to our very own Mrs Johntson who represented our little North Belfast school on the BIG stage in London talking about 'Belonging'. Mrs Johnston has written a chapter in a published book about the sense of being seen and heard, having a voice, safety in identity and how Harmony embodies everything that to belong encompasses. Thank you for putting Harmony on the global stage Mrs Johnston!
